PALEMBANG, hainews.id – Kemeriahan lomba panjat pinang sebanyak 77 pohon gelaran Koran Sumatera Express bekerjasama dengan Pemprov Sumsel dan Bank Mandiri Region II dalam rangka memperingati HUT ke-77 RI, di lapangan Hotel Whyndam, Sabtu (21/8) siang makin sempurna kare a dihadiri langsung Gubernur Sumsel H. Herman Deru.
Dalam kesempatan itu Herman Deru mengapresiasi kolaborasi apik dan begitu kreatif yang disajikan oleh media dan pihak perbankan tersebut. Menurutnya ini adalah wujud cinta kepada bangsa yang telah memberikan banyak kebaikan bagi kita semua di masa sekarang.
” Terimakasih atas kolaborasi yang apik ini dan semua yang terlibat baik Pemprov, Pemkot dan semuanya termasuk juga masyarakat dan peserta panjat pinang yang datang dari berbagai penjuru Sumsel,” jelasnya.
Lebih jauh Herman Deru panjat pinang merupakan sebuah acara yang selalu dinanti-nantikan seluruh masyarakat Sumsel khususnya Palembang. Lomba panjat pinang merupakan pesta rakyat yang digelar setiap tahun memperingati HUT RI. Tidak hanya di Palembang tapi juga di berbagai daerah di Indonesia. Panjat pinang ini juga telah dilakukan sejak zaman dahulu dan bukan hanya menjadi olahraga tradisional ataupun hiburan semata tapi juga mengandung nilai-nilai kearifan lokal.
” Ini salah satu bentuk kita menghargai peruang. Bahwa kita mengisi kemerdekaan ini bukan hanya dengan bekerja tapi juga kegembiraan yang diupayakan karena hal itu tidak bisa datang dengan sendirinya. Seperti panjat pinang inikan harus diupayakan karena butuh sponsor karena hadiahnya banyak. Makanya butuh kolaborasi yang luar biasa,” jelasnya.
Di ujung sambutannya Herman Deru mengatakan Panjat pinang sangat menarik karena mengajarkan kerjasama dalam mencapai suatu tujuan.
Iapun berharap kegiatan lomba semacam ini tetap diadakan bahkan lebih meriah lagi dengan melibatkan berbagai lapisan masyarakat sehingga memberi manfaat bagi masyarakat luas.
Sementara itu Asisten Vice President Bank Mandiri Region II Bambang Indro Panoyo dalam sambutannya mengatakan support yang mereka ini juga bagian dari melayani masyarakat Sumsel.
” Ini juga bentuk pelayanan kita, dari nasabah untuk nasabah. Karena kita hadir bukan hanya untuk urusan bisnis tapi juga membuat masyarakat bahagia,” ujarnya.
Gubernur Sumsel H. Herman Deru didampingi, Wakil Bupati Ogan Ilir Ardani, Kapolres Banyuasin AKBP Imam Syafi’i, Kepala Dinas Pariwisata Sumsel Aufa Syahrizal, Kepala Biro Humas dan Protokol Pemprov Sumsel Rika Efianti, serta Direktur Operasional Sumeks Nurseri Marwah turun langsung ke tengah lapangan untuk melihat kemeriahan dan menyemangati peserta. Mereka ini terdiri dari kategori dewasa dan dua pohon pinang untuk peserta anak-anak.
Masyarakat dan penonton menyaksikan lomba tampak gembira menyaksikan aksi ratusan peserta. Meski sudah diolesi minyak oli yang licin, sebagian peserta yang memang sudah melakukan berbagai persiapan berhasil mencapai puncak pohon pinang dan hanya dalam hitungan menit saja. Namun tak sedikit juga peserta yang harus berupaya naik berulang-ulang karena tak berhasil mencapai ke puncak. (**)
