Abu Dhabi, hainews.id – Perayaan Natal di Uni Emirat Arab (UEA) berlangsung meriah. Hal ini mendapat apresiasi dari Duta Besar RI untuk Uni Emirat Arab (UEA) Husin Bagis.

“Masyaallah mereka meriah sekali bertempat-tempat di hotel-hotel dan ini membuat bingung WNI yang datang ke UEA,” ujar Husin, Sabtu (24/12/2022) malam.

Menurutnya, Uni Emirat Arab merupakan negara yang mengedepankan toleransi. “Semua agama bebas, gereja banyak ada 40an, orang kristen banyak, semua happy,” ujarnya.

Husin memperkirakan penganut agama kristiani di Uni Emirat Arab sekitar 1 juta. Bahkan, di UEA ada sebuah masjid bernama masjid Maryam Umm ‘Īsā atau Maria ibu Yesus.

“Masjidnya di sampingnya ada gereja, saya sering salat di masjid di sana,” ucapnya.

Pihak KBRI, kata Husin, rencananya akan membuat perayaan Natal di kantor KBRI dengan mengundang WNI di negara tersebut.

Tak lupa, ia menyampaikan selamat hari Natal bagi WNI di Uni Emirat Arab yang merayakannya.

“Kami selalu sampaikan selamat hari Natal dan insyaallah kita akan lebih damai,” ucapnya.
