Ogan Ilir,hainews.id – Program Electrifying Agriculture dari PLN berhasil menekan biaya operasional dan meningkatkan kapasitas produksi beras di pabrik penggilingan padi Darling di Desa Muara Penimbung, Kabupaten Ogan Ilir, Sumatera Selatan. Arwadi, pemilik usaha Pabrik Penggilingan Padi Darling, mengatakan, setelah beralih dari mesin diesel berbahan bakar solar ke listrik PLN, mampu menghemat biaya produksi usahanya hingga puluhan juta.
“Terima kasih kepada PLN karena dengan cepat melakukan penyambungan baru sehingga dapat meningkatkan kapasitas produksi beras dan menekan biaya operasional produksi kami,” kata Arwadi.
Arwadi menuturkan, sebelum menggunakan electrifying agriculture, dalam satu hari, mesin gilingnya menghasilkan 15 ton beras selama 8 jam produksi, dan menghabiskan 380 liter solar dengan biaya lebih dari Rp 3 juta per hari atau lebih dari Rp 91 juta per bulan. Namun, setelah menggunakan listrik dengan daya 197 kiloVolt Ampere (kVA), kini biaya operasional yang dibutuhkan turun hingga 66 persen, yaitu hanya sekitar Rp1 juta per hari atau Rp30 juta per bulan.
Hal ini juga berpengaruh pada peningkatan pendapatan dari hasil giling padi pemilik usaha penggilingan maupun para petani.
“Sekarang jadi bisa saving sebanyak Rp 60juta per bulan. Terima kasih PLN sekarang biaya operasional saya jauh lebih turun,” ungkap Arwadi.
Direktur Utama PLN Darmawan Prasodjo menyampaikan bahwa electrifying agriculture hadir untuk membantu meningkatkan produktivitas usaha masyarakat di bidang pertanian, perkebunan, hingga perikanan.
“Kami ingin listrik PLN membawa manfaat bagi masyarakat. Tidak hanya sekedar menerangi, tetapi juga mampu menggerakkan roda perekonomian dan membawa kesejahteraan bagi masyarakat,” ucap Darmawan.
General Manager PLN Unit Induk Distribusi Sumatera Selatan, Jambi dan Bengkulu, Amris Adnan. berkomitmen untuk terus memberikan layanan terbaik bagi pelanggan program electrifying agriculture.
“Tidak hanya usaha milik Pak Arwadi, kami siap memenuhi listrik untuk kebutuhan usaha agrikultur melalui program electrifying agriculture,” kata Amris.
Hingga Februari 2023, sudah terdapat lebih dari 2.500 pelanggan program electrifying agriculture di wilayah Sumatera Selatan, Jambi dan Bengkulu yang sudah berhasil meningkatkan produktivitasnya. (**)
