Paris, hainews.id – PT PLN (Persero) terus mengembangkan kolaborasi strategis untuk inisiasi transisi energi di Indonesia. Baru-baru ini, Direktur Utama PLN Darmawan Prasodjo bahkan “jemput bola” hingga ke Perancis, menggandeng mitra kerja global untuk mewujudkan target Net Zero Emission 2060.
Dalam lawatan kerjanya di Perancis, PLN menandatangani Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) dengan Hydrogen de France SA (HDF) untuk pengembangan teknologi hidrogen di Indonesia. Penandatanganan nota kesepahaman ini turut disaksikan oleh Menteri Perdagangan Luar Negeri Perancis, Olivier Becht dan Duta Besar Indonesia untuk Perancis, Andorra, dan Monaco, Mohamad Oemar.
Darmawan mengatakan kedua belah pihak punya komitmen yang sama untuk memastikan ketersediaan energi yang bersih, andal, dan terjangkau. Melalui kolaborasi ini PLN ingin mengakselerasi pengembangan teknologi hidrogen sekaligus mengurangi ketergantungan kita pada energi fosil.
“Kami menyampaikan apresiasi setinggi-tingginya kepada HDF atas kolaborasi ini khususnya terkait pengembangan teknologi energi yang berkelanjutan, dalam hal ini pemanfaatan hidrogen di sektor pembangkitan, kami berharap kerja sama ini akan membawa manfaat yang besar bagi kedua belah pihak,” kata Darmawan.
Darmawan menambahkan, ke depannya PLN akan mengganti pembangkit-pembangkit diesel berbasis fosil di kawasan-kawasan terisolir di Tanah Air. Kerja sama pengembangan teknologi hidrogen dengan HDF ini akan menjadi solusi pemanfaatan potensi alam di Indonesia melengkapi pembangkit bertenaga surya dan angin yang memiliki intermitensi (keterbatasan faktor cuaca).
Sementara itu Direktur Perencanaan Korporat dan Pengembangan Bisnis PLN Hartanto Wibowo menambahkan pentingnya mengurangi emisi karbon di sektor pembangkitan listrik. Untuk itu PLN ingin mengembangkan tenaga hidrogen sebagai akselerator utama dalam memastikan ketersediaan energi.
“Kolaborasi Ini mencerminkan bagaimana kita semua bersama-sama, bergandengan tangan, untuk maju, dan mengembangkan teknologi energi berkelanjutan. Untuk itu kita tidak bisa sendirian, semoga kerja sama ini berkah dan saling memberikan manfaat,” tutur Hartanto.
Kedua belah pihak, terang Hartanto akan melakukan studi bersama terkait pengembangan teknologi, khususnya untuk pemanfaatan dan penyimpanan hidrogen.
“Selanjutnya, akan ada proyek percontohan komersial hibrid energi terbarukan dan hidrogen di jaringan listrik PLN,” tambahnya.
Sementara itu President Director of HDF, Damien Havard mengatakan pihaknya menyambut baik kerja sama dengan PLN. Ia berharap kerja sama ini dapat membantu indonesia untuk mengurangi emisi karbon.
“Kami bangga menjalin kerja sama dengan PLN untuk mendorong pengembangan pembangkit hidrogen di Indonesia. Pembangkit kami bisa membantu Indonesia untuk dekarbonisasi sekaligus mendukung upaya pemerintah untuk mendukung perkembangan di indonesia,” terang Havard.
HDF adalah perusahaan Perancis yang merupakan pelopor pembangkit hidrogen di dunia. HDF mengembangkan dan mengoperasikan infrastruktur hidrogen berskala megawatt untuk permintaan listrik dari sumber energi terbarukan. (**)
