Masjid dengan arsitektur unik dan indah berikutnya adalah Masjid Al Jabar di Bandung. Sebagai ikon wisata religi di Jawa Barat, Masjid Al Jabar mampu menampung hingga 30 ribu jamaah dengan beberapa fasilitas pendukung lainnya, seperti museum dan galeri edukasi tentang Islam.
Terinspirasi dari rumus Aljabar, masjid ini memiliki ornamen yang simetris dan geometris di setiap sisinya. Uniknya, masjid ini dikonsepkan mempunyai 27 pintu, yang menyimbolkan 27 kabupaten dan Kota di Jawa Barat dengan ukiran yang khas. Keistimewaan lain dari masjid ini adalah atap tumpuk yang berbentuk kerucut dengan kaca warna-warni.
Masjid Al Safar
Masjid kontemporer berikutnya adalah Masjid Al Safar. Berada di rest area km 88 Tol Purbaleunyi, arsitektur Masjid Al Safar selalu menarik perhatian pengguna jalan tol. Masjid ini dirancang oleh Ridwan Kamil dengan mengambil riset teori Folding Architecture, atau teknik melipat kertas (origami).
Keunikan masjid ini terletak pada bentuknya yang asimetris, dengan atap masjid menyerupai ikat kepala khas masyarakat Sunda. Selain itu, masjid ini menghadap ke depan dengan bentuk diagonal. Sehingga, Sobat Parekraf bisa melihat bangunan masjid saat melintasi tol.
Karena memiliki desain yang unik, Masjid Al Safar pernah mendapat penghargaan arsitektur terbaik “Abdullatif Al Fozan Award” pada 2019 di Arab Saudi, bersama 26 masjid lain yang ada di dunia.
Masjid Babah Alun
Memiliki konsep semi klasik, arsitektur Masjid Babah Alun terlihat mencolok saat kita memasuki gerbang tol Depok-Antasari (Desari). Secara sekilas, masjid ini terlihat seperti klenteng, akan tetapi pada bagian tengah bangunan terdapat sebuah kubah yang menjadi ciri khas sebuah masjid.
Masjid ini didominasi dengan perpaduan warna merah, hijau, dan kuning emas yang kental dengan nuansa Tionghoa. Warna-warna tersebut melambangkan keberuntungan, kemakmuran, dan kejayaan. Tak lupa, unsur Betawi turut mewarnai bagian pagar masjid.
Masjid Permata Qolbu, Jakarta
Mengusung desain kontemporer, Masjid Permata Qolbu berdiri tegak di daerah Perumahan Permata Mediterania, Jakarta. Masjid ini didominasi warna putih dengan kolom-kolom besar yang menjulang ke atas dan bersekat-sekat.
